Let's also have a look at the bigger question of Rent versus Own with real estate. Most of the time it makes sense to buy, and yet there are a few times it makes sense to rent. When it makes sense to rent: 1- You'll live in the house less than 2 years, AND it won't make sense to keep it as a rental. Often it does make sense to keep it as a rental, watch the video to learn the specifics of how to make that decision! 2- It's a better deal to rent than to own. This happens when it's expensive to buy, and there are rentals available for less than your mortgage payment and ownership costs would be to buy. Let's deep dive into these two situations. Real talk: how we're able to spend the next 15 months traveling the world (financially).
